A few months ago, German site HardwareLuxx Spread the rumor that the PC version of Ryse: Son of Rome will support a new API from AMD, but apparently the gossip was not entirely true, as today Crytek has denied the rumor, saying that the staff decided to use its resources to improve the graphics of the game.
In an interview with DSO Gaming, Nicolas Schulz, said that support for Mantle was just a rumor and Ryse is not implemented to support Mantle, nor we have future plans to carry it out. On the other hand, Nicolas also commented on how difficult it is to impress gamers today regarding the to the visuals, but insists that Ryse is a step ahead of other titles in terms of Graphics, thanks to its lighting system, quality materials and facial expressions.
I must admit that Nicolas Schulz is not at all wrong, because Crytek has managed to once again surprise the PC users with the graphical quality that can be achieved with CryENGINE. A few weeks ago, we also compare the Ryse: Son of Rome PC version with the Current Generation Console XBox One and PC version of game was equipped with good texture and lightning, I can say with certainty that Ryse will become a new benchmark for the PC master race.
