PC users know that many Playstation exclusives have never seen the light on the PC platform, since the vast majority are developed by the company’s own studios. While these are labeled as “Only On Playstation”, others like Street Fighter V labeled as “PS4 Console Exclusive Game”, which means that the exclusivity only applies to the PlayStation 4, leaving the PC as the only alternative launch. [Rumor] Yakuza 0 could be launched on PC
Now here is the interesting part as the Yakuza 0 western version was also labeled “PS4 Console Exclusive Game”, and also in the official statement of Japanese company it was stated that some titles would be announced for PC in late 2016 and some in early 2017, this new label does not leave much to the imagination. In addition, the cover has been published on the official site:
RPS: You have a lot of IPs, of course, some of which we haven’t seen for a long time.
Post: We have different initiatives around the older Sega IPs. The Megadrive Collection is one of those, for the people who want to play retro games. But then we have games like Shenmue, which was pretty much at the top of every list of titles that people wanted to see revived. We have more though and we’re constantly looking at them.
We have some great IPs coming out next year and we’ll have announcements toward the end of this year about some of those. New versions of old games.
The Japanese version of Yakuza 0 entitled “Ryu ga Gotoku Zero: Chikai no Basho” was launched on March 15 on Playstation 3 and Playstation 4, while the Western version is confirmed for January 27, 2017 on Playstation 4.
