On 7 January NVIDIA will officially announce it that with the purchase of a GeForce GTX 970, GeForce GTX 980, GeForce GTX 980 Ti or gaming laptop equipped with GeForce GTX 970M, GTX 980M and GTX 980 (desktop variant) you will receive a free copy of Rise of the Tomb Raider, which will be released for PC.

Rise of the Tomb Raider To Be Bundled With NVIDIA’s GeForce 970 & 980 GPUs

The most curious of all is that the Rise of the Tomb Raider is advertised as an AMD Gaming Evolved title and has proprietary technology of AMD such as TressFX 3.0, so it is quite curious agreement with NVIDIA. NVIDIA has not announced any GameWorks features as of yet for this game. The only thing that fits is that NVIDIA sells many more graphic cards than AMD, and giving the game for free will help to inflate the number of ” sales ” game after leaving a bad taste on Xbox One, which led to advance the launch the game on PC.

Few days back through its tab in Steam, Square Enix has confirmed that the reboot of Tomb Raider will come to PC via Steam during the month of January 2016.
