This E3 has proved to be a great entertainer fulfilling the anticipations of many and surprising few others with unexpected announcements, one of which is Rise of the Tomb Raider which totally caught us off-guard.

Following the announcement, we have received a new update about the sequel to the award winning franchise. It appears that the Rise of the Tomb Raider will be a cross-gen title as in the game will be available for the Next-Gen consoles as well as the Last-Gen consoles.

The rumour of the Rise of the Tomb Raider being developed for Last-Gen consoles were put to rest when Amazon listed Rise of the Tomb Raider for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 alongside the Next-Gen consoles.

Contrary to what people believed, Last-Gen consoles are still very much part of the agenda for a few developers, this will prove to be a breather for last-gen console owners who will get ample time to save for a next gen console or PC.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available sometime in 2015 and it will be available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
