Through its Twitter account, Phil Spencer today announced that those who will purchase the seventh installment of the Capcom saga “Resident Evil 7” from the Windows 10 Store will also be able to play it on Xbox One, or vice versa, also with support for saving game progress between both platforms.

It is clear that Microsoft’s goal is to push the UWP platform apart from its low popularity. Still, the purist PC gamer will buy it on Steam apart from this relative benefit.

Resident Evil 7 uses Denuvo Anti-Tamper technology, it will be launched on January 24 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Make sure you meet the minimum or recommended requirements.

Minimum requirements:

    • OS: WINDOWS 7, 8, 8.1, 10 , 64 Bits
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-4460, 2.70GHz or AMD FX-6300 or higher
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 260x
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Additional notes: Requirements to play 1080P CPU / GPU 30FPS. Players will either have to lower the quality of the textures or disable the Streaming Textures option to improve performance.
    • Internet connection required to activate and download the game.
    • The game is still under development, so the requirements are subject to change.
