The long-awaited Rockstar game, the Red Dead Redemption 2 arrived on the PC platform on November 5 after many months of waiting by the community of PC. To debut, the studio chose the Epic Games Store as an exclusive temporary store, so that a month later, the game also arrived on the Steam store.
Now we know what sales figures were during its debut at the Epic store. During the month that the Red Dead Redemption 2 was available exclusively on the Epic Games Store, the game “only” sold 408,000 copies, a figure that, although quite bulky but does not resemble the results obtained on consoles. In this way, the data are far from the 1.78 million units that Red Dead Redemption 2 managed to sell in its first month on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Obviously, it should be taken into account the great delay with which the Rockstar’s game arrived on the PC platform, as the game was originally launched in October 2018. This factor, together with its rugged launch full of technical problems, and its landing exclusive temporary on the Epic Games Store has caused the Red Dead Redemption 2 impact that were difficult not expected by the developer.
