Rockstar Games have been working on Red Dead Redemption 2 for past couple of years and as the game enters the final stage of its development, we are about to hear more information regarding the upcoming action-adventure game.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most anticipated game of 2018 and lately, Rockstar held presentation at GME Conference in Indianapolis where 20 minute live gameplay demo was showcased to GameStop employees but surprisingly, the demo didn’t live up to the expectations of many and most of them termed it ‘boring’.
No gameplay footage of the demo was published over the internet, but some employees took on Reddit threads to give their take and some even claimed that the boring demo put them to sleep. Below are some of the comments from reddit forums;
“Beautiful game, but mostly just saw horse riding simulator. Very difficult to stay awake…”
“Don’t get me wrong, I still think the game will be fantastic, just the demo was kinda boring to watch.”
“There was a shoot out after a bank heist but before the heist we saw 15 minutes of meandering through some woods and some plucky guitar playing.”
“Don’t get me wrong, I still think the game will be fantastic, just the demo was kinda boring to watch,”
This is one of the most anticipated game we’re talking about and surprisingly, the 20 minute gameplay demo appears to be boring by some GameStop employees. However, not all the comments were negative and some of them actually praised the gameplay. It appears that the part chosen for the demo maybe not interesting as we can see from the comments below;
’They showed off the graphics and an early robbery. The game looks gorgeous and the physics were amazing. This is easily going to compete with God Of War, and I also see Spider-Man making the lists as well.’
Here’s what the GameStop manager said, “Definitely GOTY contender and I’m not going to judge by one mission. Anyone who enjoyed the first one is probably [going to] love this new one.”
It’s not good to judge the game by a particular part of the story and we can’t conclude either since there were mixed comments. Also, the GME Conference took place throughout the weekend so the employees maybe tired and exhausted by the gameplay coverage of other titles.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is set for release on 26th October, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned for more updates!
