Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has announced that its partners (assemblers / brands) are prohibited from launching their own versions of the Radeon R9 Nano, so AIB partners cannot even launch customized versions (equipped with a more efficient cooling system), also AMD will not let them significantly alter the specifications of Radeon Nano and frequencies should be the same as the original model.

Luckily, after three months AMD will allow its partners to build custom versions of the Radeon R9 Nano, and after it market will start to receive the first Radeon R9 Nano equipped with more efficient cooling.

In terms of specifications the Radeon R9 Nano is supposedly based on the full fat Fiji GPU core graphics processing unit with 4096 stream processors same count as on Radeon R9 Fury X, 256 texture units, 64 raster operations pipelines. The Radeon R9 Nano also feature 64 compute units which have 64 stream processors per CU and 4096-bit memory interface. The card comes with 4GB of high-bandwidth memory operating at 1GHz, which offers512GB/s of bandwidth. The total compute performance of Nano is 8.19 TFlops.
