German sources have recently expressed the idea that the only real hot items for AMD graphics cards on the market this year will be only Fiji GPUs, which will receive 1.3 GCN architecture and HBM with a 1024-bit memory bus.

Radeon “Fiji” Will Be Only New Graphics Adapter In Upcoming R9 300 Series – Rest All Are Re branded Old GPUs:

Swedish page SweClockers , which in past times have provided a fairly reliable information on future AMD products, decided to express his opinion for now, but all of this can be seen as “almost officially” confirmed information.

Source believes that the Pirate Islands graphics adapters in the whole family will only bear “Fiji” as a new product, while all other siblings will be just renaming of the old R9 2900 Series GPUs.

GPU Fiji will debut in the second quarter of this year, and the samples of the series would be displayed in the exhibition to be held in June at Computex 2015 (Taipei, Taiwan).

It is likely that in at the end 2015, graphics processors on Fiji line will be unveiled with HBM, but other video cards with GCN architecture and 1.3 will miss HBM this year.
