Earlier this week, Remedy Entertainment announced its recent action and time-traveler game, Quantum Break getting Steam and retail version. Originally, the game was announced for Xbox One and then later during February this year, it was confirmed for Windows 10 as well.

The game was available for purchase from Windows store and Xbox Store only. However, things have been changed and according to the Head of communications of Remedy, the Steam version of Quantum Break maybe better than that of Windows store version.

He also said that the studio has a better experience ‘in shipping DX11 titles‘, which indicates that the Steam version, maybe a bit more optimized as compared with the Windows Store version which had many issues when the game was released back in April.

But soon after his statement, there was a confusion with reports of Windows 10 version may not be getting updates. Anyhow, Thomas Puha of Remedy Entertainment also issued a statement of clarification as he thinks he was not quoted exactly and there was a confusion. According to him, the game on Windows 10 will still receive updates as parity is important.

Quantum Break Steam version will support Windows 7/8 and DirectX 11 next month on September 14th for EUR/USD 39.99. Developer also announced Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition, which will include the following;

  • Premium packaging
  • 5 Game Discs (one-time Steam key redemption required)
  • Making of Blu-Ray
  • Making of Book
  • 1 Soundtrack CD (Audio-CD)
  • 2 Posters
