Yesterday we reported that Quantum Break is coming to Steam on September 14. Now the latest news suggests that PC users can play Quantum Break in the 64-bit version of Windows 7/8 and, of course, with support for DirectX 11.

Quantum Break On Steam Will Support Windows 7/8 and DirectX 11

Unfortunately, those who have acquired Quantum Break in store for Windows 10, can not access the DirectX 11 support since Remedy has no plans to update that version. The performance of NVIDIA graphics cards with DirectX12 is not so impressive, but support for DirectX 11 is something that could even benefit users of NVIDIA.

In short, good for Microsoft and Remedy for the initiative to launch an exclusive title of the controversy Windows 10 store on Steam, but turn bad for not providing support to those who have the game on WIndows 10 store.

Developer Remedy Entertainment has also announced Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition for $39.99 USD. The new edition will include;

  • Premium packaging
  • 5 Game Discs (one-time Steam key redemption required)
  • Making of Blu-Ray
  • Making of Book
  • 1 Soundtrack CD (Audio-CD)
  • 2 Posters
  • Quickstart Guide
