Earlier this week, famous upcoming action-shooter from Remedy Entertainments, Quantum Break was announced for Windows 10 along with the release date of the game.

Soon after the announcement, we saw reports coming up regarding the backlash on social media by some of the console fans as they were not happy after knowing that more people, i.e. PC gamers will also be playing the game which was supposed to be an Xbox One exclusive.

Quantum Break Limited To Windows Store Only, Confirms No Steam Version

Anyhow, today, Marketing executive at Microsoft, Aaron Greenberg just now confirmed that the game will be exclusive for Windows Store only during Major Nelson’s podcast. Which confirms that no one can buy the game from Steam, which is currently the most popular gaming store in PC platform.

“Quantum Break on Windows 10 is a Windows Store exclusive,” said Aaron Greenberg.

Having said that, it seems that the Microsoft wants PC gamers to move towards their Windows Store instead of Valve’s Steam. According to the Xbox head, releasing this game for PC platform was done to “[grow] the gaming ecosystem,”.

The game was expected to be released last year, after the delay, it will be releasing on April 5th, 2016 for PC and Xbox One. The game is under final phase of development from the makers of Max Payne and Alan Wake, Remedy Interactive. Stay tuned for more updates!
