Remedy Entertainment’s recent time-travelling action game Quantum Break is no longer Windows Store and Windows 10 exclusive.

Quantum Break Getting Steam and Retail Release on September 14, Coming for Windows 7 and up

Yesterday, Remedy Entertainment announced that the game is getting Steam and Retail release next month on September 14th. According to Microsoft, the timed exclusive game will be made available for other operating systems, retails and also on the most popular digital PC store, Steam. Previously, Quantum Break was only exclusive to Windows Store and Xbox Store.

Initially, the game was to be released for Xbox One only after its announcement, while the studio changed its plan in February and decided to launch the game for Windows 10 platform through the Windows Store. Developer Remedy Entertainment announced Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition for $39.99 USD. The new edition will include;

  • Premium packaging
  • 5 Game Discs (one-time Steam key redemption required)
  • Making of Blu-Ray
  • Making of Book
  • 1 Soundtrack CD (Audio-CD)
  • 2 Posters
  • Quickstart Guide


The game was reportedly suffering from many issues such as unstable frame rates, no G-Sync and FreeSync support on the Windows 10 platform soon after its release while the issues were addressed through patches and updates.
