Announced earlier this year (April), but not been confirmed until today, Qualcomm has officially announced the speed of its new high-end SoC, we are talking about Qualcomm Snapdragon 810.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 will reach 2.00 GHz for A57 cores, up to 1.6GHz for A53 cores

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 is a SoC Octa-Core comprised of 64-bit quad-core Cortex-A57 @2.00 GHz together with other four cores Cortex-A53 @1.60 GHz (energy efficient) remaining in terms of Graphics 430 Adreno is doing the job. As we can see, despite the reduction in frequency over the previous generation of SoCs (Snapdragon 801 @ 2.50 GHz / Snapdragon 805 @ 2.70 GHz) with a new manufacturing process (20nm vs. 28nm) with a renewed architecture achieves higher performance coupled with lower energy consumption.

The first devices based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 would be arrived during the first quarter of 2015, hoping that we will be able to see the official device during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (March 2015).
