One of the most popular battle royale game, PUBG is out for Xbox One for more than 6 months but the game lacks map selection feature on the console and no doubt, it is one of those features which was requested by the gamers for a long time.

Fortunately, it seems that the request has been accepted by the developers as they confirmed on the official forums that the feature is set to hit the consoles sometime later this summer or early fall. They said that no release date is being confirmed as the focus is to work on performance for the platform.

Here’s what they said; “We know this is a feature that many of our players want, so it is definitely high on our list to implement on Xbox as soon as possible.”

Apart from the map selection, the team is also working on other features such as improvement for hit registration and Character Position Readjustment. They are working for limb penetration so they can look forward to improve the issues regarding hit registration.

According to the blog update, “The main culprit here is that bullets do not penetrate limbs in the game right now. To fix this, we will be introducing limb penetration, which will calculate whether there are any body parts behind the shot limb and calculate the damage as if it hit the more vital area.”

While regarding Position Readjustment, they said that it happens because of the load on servers while trying to locate and adjust more number of players in the match. However, the team is working on a server update which will address the issue regarding players’ adjustment and location.

PUBG is now available for PC, Xbox One, Android and iOS. Stay tuned for more updates!
