The Chinese giant Tencent, now even more recognized for its port for mobile devices of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, offers an interesting variant for not so powerful desktop computers. It is an official emulator of the company dedicated specifically to the mobile version of this game, which is available since May, but was recently discovered by a user of ResetEra and NeoGAF.

“Tencent Gaming Buddy” is the emulator, allows you to load PUBG Mobile on a desktop PC with Windows, and automatically configures it to be played with mouse and keyboard. Of course, this advantage would ruin the experience of those who play directly on touch screens, so the company – considering the large number of users they have – had the luxury of separating the servers for players of the two modalities. On the other hand, user information is maintained in both versions, including experience statistics and purchased items.

The game has traditional controls, which can be found in any PC action game, but also allows you to reconfigure all the functionalities to suit each one. It also offers the possibility of alternating between three different graphic settings, to obtain the best performance even in the lowest range computers:

  • SD 720p (Runs on 8600 GT / 9600 GT / HD 2600 / HD 3600 and similar, DX10)
  • HD 1080p (Requires GTX 660 or better)
  • Ultra HD 2K (Requires GTX 1060 or better)
