For the past few months, we have been reporting about the PS3 emulator for PC ‘RPCS3’ running famous and PS3 exclusive titles on PC smoothly.
The number of playable games started to increase but we saw some major titles such as Uncharted 3, The Last of Us, Red Dead Redemption and many others facing performance issues. Through the time, the emulator received new versions and updates which also affected the game performance for various titles and the recent updates suggest positive news for those trying to run the games via emulator.
The team behind the PS3 emulator has been publishing gameplay videos of the titles, specifically AAA titles running on PC and we can witness performance improvement in the titles in comparison to the previous gameplay videos.
Check out the new gameplay video published by the emulator team, running The Last of Us, Uncharted 3, Resistance 1, Yakuza and few others;
Here’s what the team has to say regarding the performance improvements;
“During September, many major titles have seen improvements, and there’s still more to come in another video soon™. The Last of Us and Uncharted 3 can now go ingame for the first time thanks to Eladash fixing a crash with cutscenes by making improvements to the RSX Shader Decompiler”
