Now we know that not all games will run at 60 frames per second / native 1080p on PlayStation 4 Pro, because developers can pick what performance upgrades apply to their games. This implies to all more old PS4 games that are redesigned with ‘Forward Compatibility’ won’t hit native 1080p 60FPS as a matter of course: developers can choose frame rates, upscaling graphics and a number of different upgrades for their titles.

“Depending on how the developer chooses to use the increased processing power, games with PS4 Pro support are able to render higher or more consistent framerates, increased environmental and character model detail, improved overall visual quality, and other related visual enhancements,” Sony said in a recent PS4 Pro FAQ.

For example, games like Shadow of Mordor and the Horizon: Zero Dawn will Upscale to 4K resolution rather than 60 FPS, while the Paragon will feature improved visual quality with new environment textures, so it will rest with the creator of the game that what they like a nice Graphics experience while maintaining 30 FPS or a more balanced experience at 60 FPS.

From now Studies will also launch game with two graphics configurations. All games will be compatible for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Slim and PlayStation 4 Pro. If we put the game Shadows of Mordor in the PS4 so it will have a “medium” quality graphics, but if you install Shadows of Mordor on PS4 Pro then the graphics quality will be set to “high” to take advantage of the additional power of this model.

“The same discs and downloads will run on both the standard model and the PS4 Pro.
