Recently, developer Obsidian announced that the highly anticipated RPG Pillars of Eternity have been delayed until 2015. The role-playing game which many RPG fans are waiting for has been delayed and it is pretty sad for RPG lovers. Inspired by games like Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale the game won’t see it’s coming till early 2015.

Those of the kickstarters who funded Pillars of Eternity’s develop also got the chance to play the beta version of the game in August. Unfortunately, the beta build was just a very, very tiny sample of what we are going to get in the future. So, the beta featured a village, a set of mid-level quests for the guys and they said it was enough to give them a challenge. Like the game is not good enough it is getting delayed, Obsidian announced that the game needs a little more change and it will take a little more time.

Here what Obsidian said: “Since the very beginning of this project we promised our fans and ourselves that we would
Release this game only when we knew it would be absolutely ready for the best experience
possible, ” writes Feargus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian. “We’re very close to that point, but not quite there yet. The feedback we have received through our playtest process has been invaluable to us. We are coming into the home stretch, but are pushing the release out just a bit to make sure we honor that promise we made originally. Thanks for your patience and support, it will be worth the wait.”

So are you hype for this upcoming game? We know it will release in 2015 now with a release day yet to be announced, it will release for Microsoft Windows, OS X and Linux
