We have a handful of pictures that show us several premium variants of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 burned after being used for mining. Specifically, we ran into two very expensive Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 along with Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming and curiously, all of them have burned at the same point, although the Gigabyte ones suffered the most due to use of inadequate cooling system and more plastic.

As mentioned above, all the GPUs have suffered the problem of “fire” in the same area, which is specifically the entire periphery of the VRAM memory and the VRM of the GPUs, although for something like this it is quite doubtful that all these GPUs reached limit temperature that would melting even the chassis that hides the cooling system, so who knows if there was a problem related to the power supply or the wiring or riser adapter itself to mount all these GPUs next to each other for mining 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
