Konami has announced financial results for its first quarter 2015 ended on December 31. According to the Japanese publisher, PC sales saw an increase of 8%, even surpassing the figures for Xbox One. The best sales performance is still linked to Sony consoles, but it’s good to know that Konami looks now PC as a viable platform for the gamer market.

The PC becomes a viable platform for Konami

According to the results, the PC represents 10% of total units sold (the previous year had been only 2%), surpassing Microsoft console, only 6% of Xbox One.

There is also good news for fans of Metal Gear, since sales of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes were very positive. While no exact figures, but this proves that the decision to re-launch a Metal Gear Solid PC was a wise decision.

Hopefully Konami pay more attention to the PC in future titles, reminder that Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain will release simultaneously with the console version.
