Overwatch, a team based multiplayer game is all set to get some story content sometime soon this year, according to the lead writer for the game.

Overwatch is a famous game among the fans of shooter category, while lacks a single player story mode. After a couple of months of its release, it seemed that the story mode won’t be available for this game. But the questions following Doomfist character and the animated short films based on the game’s characters showcases that there is a demand among the fans.

Some curious fans wrote on the forums of Battle.net to get a response from Blizzard regarding the matter where the lead writer Michael Chu confirmed that the studio is currently working on a new story content for the Overwatch which is expected to be released sometime soon this year. He said;

“We’re all excited to continue to explore the world of Overwatch,”

“[We] are hard at work creating new story content for the year, which should hopefully start to roll out in the very near future. Stay tuned!”
