For quite a long time, Red Barrels Studio is working on a sequel of its horror franchise, the Outlast 2 and the fans must be wondering when the game will be launched. Well, we have the answer at the moment as Red Barrels have announced the release date for its horror-survival sequel.

According to the developers, the Outlast 2 is due on April 25th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The announcement was made by Red Barrels using its Twitter account.

Soon after the tweet from the developer studio, people were wondering if the game would be available on retail stores, for which they issued another statement for clarification that the game will be available digitally and as a physical copy as well on April 25th for $29.99.

The studio also confirmed that they will be releasing Outlast Trinity pack, a collection including Outlast, Outlast: Whistleblower and the Outlast 2 for PS4 and Xbox One on April 25th as a physical copy for $39.99.

In the other news, the studio is also working on the PlayStation 4 Pro support for the game with enhancements and rich details. President of the Red Barrels confirmed that the game will be taking advantage of the upgraded console and will offer texture, shadow and other improvements.

Outlast 2 is an upcoming horror-survival set in Arizona, where the players will be playing the role of an investigating journalist and look into the murder of a pregnant woman. During their investigation, the player accompanying his wife will discover some new mystery.
