Oculus announced that the pre-purchase for the long awaited Oculus Rift will start from Wednesday, the bundle will include Lucky’s Tale and EVE: Valkyrie. Ironically, only 1 day is left of the reservation, but the final price is still unknown (you can expect around $400). The Oculus will not require a high-end PC (minimum- Core i5 with a GTX 970). Needless to say, it is not a product for the average PC user.

Oculus Rift Will Be Available For Pre-Order From 6 January, Lucky’s Tale and EVE: Valkyrie for free

The founder of Oculus, Palmer Luckey, will be answering any questions on Wednesday from 6 to 8PM (PST) for an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit.

Remember that Oculus Rift  will use two OLED screens  (2160 x 1200p @ 90 Hz) to provide great clarity, good contrast, and perfect viewing angles. Next to the glasses we get a 360 audio headset to provide even more impressive experience,  an external sensor, a dial to adjust the inter-pupillary distance and diopter. You also need four USB ports (three  USB 3.0 ports with a USB 2.0 port) for operations. This large amount of USB connections would be necessary to give life to the glasses, camera monitoring, headphones and possibly commanding the Xbox One, since by now things are not officially confirmed. Before pre-ordering make sure that your Rig is equipped with at least one  Intel Core i5- 4590, 8 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290.
