Nvidia has decided to cut down the prices of its top end graphics card so they can enhance its market more. If Nvidia goes on with this strategy, this will be a big move against AMD. As Fury X didn’t made it to rank 1 single GPU crown. GTX 980Ti and Titan X are still faster, so reducing price will really push AMD to reconsider their prices again even though Fury X is just out now in the market.
It also hints towards that Nvidia is planning to launch a new GPU or possibly a Dual GPU by Nvidia is in works. May be Nvidia wants to keep their dual GPU inside $1000 mark so that’s why considering to cut down prices of both GTX Titan X and GTX 980Ti and others. Or probably something to compete with R9 Nano.
Nvidia has much deeper roots in the market in comparison to AMD. Still the company is boost its market grasp even more.
In US the prices of Nvidia GPUs are very near to official price tag by Nvidia but in Europe they are rather quite high. So we may anticipate to see reduced prices in Europe as well.
If Nvidia reduces the prices of GTX 980 Ti and GTX 980, then AMD too have reduce the prices of its Radeon R9 Fury X in order to stay in the market.
