NVIDIA PhysX engine operation, scenery also had time, but in recent years gradually decline. Today, after 10 years of its birth, NVIDIA officially announced to make it open-source, the current PhysX 3.3.3 version complete source code has been uploaded to GitHub (click here to download).

NVIDIA PhysX Code now Opens for Developers

NVIDIA-PhysX

Epic co-founder Tim Sweeney (Epic Games’ remarkably beautiful KIte Demo was running on the newly unveiled, GTX Titan X) published on the NVIDIA blog published an article that Unreal Engine 4 developers have now access to physics engine actually had to spend a PhysX and fabrics, objects related to the destruction of technology. By implementing the PhysX code in the engine, it would allow more developers to take advantage of the technology.

Epic Games revealed:

“Today we’re excited to announce an expansion of that partnership with NVIDIA providing all UE4 developers with not just binary but C++ source access to the CPU-based implementation of PhysX 3.3.3, including the clothing and destruction libraries, through Epic’s Unreal Engine repository on GitHub.”

NVIDIA has strong policies for many games using PhysX, in addition to graphics outside big upgrade for them quite effective thing is a lot of AMD graphics pit. But the technology itself is relatively large graphics resource consumption (the AMD card will not say), plus NVIDIA closure policy, willing to use the developer gradually reduced.

But from the open source code the brightest developers can modify, optimize, derived from a number of possible better branch, the industry also has a role in promoting.

In addition to the source code, PhysX SDK development package had also been supported by Android, OS X, and Linux platforms, the future of this physics engine technology will also be the platform for game developers take advantage of them.
