We have been worried about the Nvidia 800M series for the Notebook graphic card, the first release is an entry level model Geforce 820M, but the latest show of Puliao, Maxwell architecture goes directly to the notebook Graphic Card!!
Notebook Review Forum ” Cloudfire “Post said today, GeForce GTX 860M will be directly using Maxwell’s GM107 core architecture, 640 stream processors, 128-bit 2GB GDDR5 memory, the equivalent of transplant GeForce GTX 750 Ti, performance greatly and the Thermal Power Design is 45W.
The GPU-Z 0.7.7 has also been identified, and the core frequency of Gtx 860M is 1253MHz, equivalent to 5GHz.
Below picture is the Nvidia Gtx 860M run of 3DMark11:
Nvidia GTX 860M with a quad-core Core i7-4700HQ Processor scored P5339 points @3DMark11, and graphical score is 5157. This score is almost between the desktop card GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost and Radeon R7 260X.
If we talk about the kepler GTX 660M is looking the family of low-end models, score only P2563, graphic score was 2360, less than half of the GTX 860M with same others specifications.
3DMark X grade only scores, GTX 860M scored almost double of GTX 660M and almost very close to GTX 770M. At 3Dmark X Grade Gtx 770 got 1747 Score.
Additionally the GeForce GTX 860M specific release is still unknown, should look far, top model GeForce GTX 880M should be soon, maybe a one-time collective debut. But one thing I must say that the first Maxwell architecture for notebook GTX 860m is looking really impressive.
