NVIDIA has previously launched Pascal based GeForce GTX 1080 and GeForce GTX 1070 and now they will go a step further to launch the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. According to the latest rumors it would be based on the Pascal GP102 silicon consist of 3840 CUDA cores, it would be 50 percent more powerful than the GeForce GTX 1080 (or roughly equivalent to SLI configuration of GeForce GTX 1080). We can say it would be the first graphic card in the market which can easily run every game you throw at it at @ 60 FPS /4k resolution. The custom variant of GeForce GTX 1080 with higher frequencies can also reach to this target.

The most surprising element is the memory of GeForce GTX 1080 Ti as it would use 8 GB of GDDR5X memory rather than HBM2 memory. HBM2 memory is reserved for expected TITAN model with 16 GB HBM2, of course, significantly affect the price. Regarding consumption, it would be around 250W, the same as GeForce GTX TITAN X, which in turn is slightly less powerful than the GeForce GTX 1070 with a consumption of 150W .
On the other hand, high-end silicon GP100 would be able to accept anything less than 5760 CUDA Cores, but we will not see any graphics card focused on the gaming segment with said silicon.
