We have new information about the GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card equipped with Pascal GP104-200 manufactured @16nm features 1920 CUDA cores with 120 TMUs that could keep the 64 ROPs, all this at a Base / Turbo frequency of 1506/1683 MHz  (6.75 TFLOP/s single-precision floating point performance) with 8 GB of GDDR5 memory @8000 MHz that is linked to an memory interface of 256 bits giving a bandwidth of 256 GB / s with TDP of 150W, so it will require a single PCI-Express 8-pin connector for power.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 would be 74% more powerful than the GeForce GTX 970


The first information comes from the hand of NVIDIA itself regarding its performance, compared to the GeForce GTX 970 the GeForce GTX 1080 is 74 percent faster and not only that, but also 20 percent faster than the GeForce GTX 980 Ti. If we consider that the GeForce GTX 1080 is on average 30 percent faster than the GeForce GTX 980 Ti, this means that the GeForce GTX 1070 would have a 10% less power than the current high-end gaming graphics card of the company.

According to the graphs, showcasing the performance of GeForce GTX 1070 in Virtual Reality, the GPU would be 178 percent more powerful than the GeForce GTX 970 in relative performance (FPS per watt, efficiency, etc.), under the Rise of the Tomb Raider it would be 79% faster and in The Witcher 3 that difference drops to 69 % giving an average of 74% regardless of the VR. If the given information is real then we can assume that Overclocked version of GeForce GTX 1070 climb that 10% and will perform same as the base version of GeForce GTX 1080, so pay attention to the custom variants of GeForce GTX 1070.

NVIDIA set the MSRP for the GeForce GTX 1070 at US $379, $50 higher than the launch-price of the GTX 970, the most popular SKU based on the GM204 silicon.  The company also plans to sell a premium reference-design card, dubbed the GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition, at $449, at a $70 premium.
