A few weeks ago Gigabyte has confirmed NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti through its official Facebook page, although the existence of this graphics card has been known since the start of September. This graphics card aims to destroy the AMD RX Vega 56 and it will hit market in October, specifically on October 26 as an intermediate solution between the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080. It is possible that with the arrival of this graphic card, we see lower prices for the mid-lower range models, the GTX 1050/1050 Ti /1060/1070, although in this respect there is no data.
The NVIDIA solution will be more powerful than the AMD solution and much power efficient, something that is not very complicated either, because Vega GPUs consume a mess. It is speculated that this graphics card will cost about $ 400, a very interesting price. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti will also have 2343 CUDA Cores, 152TMU and 64ROP, which will work at a base frequency of 1607MHz and a Boost mode of 1683MHz with a total of 8GB GDDR5 working at 8GHz, with a 256bits interface, giving a power of 7.8TFLOPS total computing. All this with a TDP of 180W.
This NVIDIA GTX 1070 Ti will interestingly arrive in the last quarter of the year. We emphasize this point because NVIDIA Volta is expected to be released during Q1 2018 and the normal thing would be to see the Volta graphics cards presentation at CES 2018, although it is true that there is still no data on the presentation by NVIDIA of its new graphics cards for this event.
