We knew the existence of a GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB of memory and one with 3 GB of memory. Both new graphics cards used two different variants of Pascal GP106 silicon: the GP106-400 and GP106-300, while the first has been officially announced and for the second at the moment officially nothing is unknown and It has many reasons, because we have a less powerful graphics card, but keeps the same name.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Alleged Specifications:
While silicon GP106-400 offers 1280 CUDA Cores with 80 TMUs and 48 ROPs, the GP106-300 looks like is formed of 1152 CUDA Cores, 72 TMUs and 48 ROPs and most curious of all, why NVIDIA has called this graphics card “GeForce GTX 1060” rather than a “GeForce GTX 1050” and not offer two graphics cards. In there would be a difference in performance.
We are still waiting to see if the leaked information is really true. Regarding the release date, this variant would arrive sometime in August.
