NVIDIA all set to launch mid-range GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and GeForce GTX 1050 graphics cards to compete with AMD this month (October, 2016). Today we have confirmed technical specifications of GeForce GTX 1050 Ti in addition to new performance tests thanks to 3DMark.

The Pascal GP107 GPU Core that gives life to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is formed by 768 CUDA Cores, 48 TMUs and 32 ROPs at a Base / Turbo frequency of 1318/1380 MHz gives 82.5 GTexels / s, nearly double if we compare it with GM107 silicon found in the GeForce GTX 960, while on the other hand we have 41.3 GPíxels. Silicon is attached to 4 GB of Samsung GDDR5memory at a frequency of 7.00 GHz with a memory interface of 128-bit bus and a bandwidth of 112.1GB/s.  GeForce 1050 GTX Ti TDP would be 75W so no need of any PCI-Express connector for reference variant.

The above GPU-z shot is of custom GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with factory Overclocked frequencies, it reaches factory frequencies of 1354/1468 MHz and powered via PCI-Express 6 – pin connector. Regarding performance there is no surprise, in the Fire Strike Ultra yielded 1.853 points (Graphics Score) while in the Time Spy increased to 2370 points. Thus, the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti offers virtually the same performance of the GeForce GTX 960, so it should be faster than a Radeon RX 470 while the “non-Ti” variant will offer a closer performance to the RX 470.

    Needs a correction. GTX 960 is slower than RX 470, so I think you meant the RX 460 there.
