On September 18, there’s been an announcement from team Green about a 24 hour worldwide event to “celebrate this thing we all love called PC gaming. Many players will join this event from all over the world. The theme of the event is very simple, celebrating PC gaming for 24Hours you are free to do gaming, eating, and drink. But at the end of all, there is a very special most awaited announcement. Nvidia will announce the Second Generation Maxwell architecture Graphics Cards Gtx 980 and Gtx 970.

We all know that Nvidia previously skip Gtx 800 Desktop Graphics Card series, The only reason we know for skipping the Gtx 800 Series is because it was so associated with 28nm.

GTX 980 and GTX 970 are equipped with the second generation of Maxwell based GM204 core architecture, process technology has not been confirmed. GTX 980 is GM204-400, performance ratio is slightly higher than GTX 780 Ti, GTX 970 is GM204-200, ranging between GTX 780 and GTX 780 Ti, performance closer to the latter. Both will be equipped with 4GB / 256-bit GDDR5 memory. Previous rumors put the Geforce GTX 980 at the $499 Price Point and the Geforce GTX 970 at the $399 price point.
