No Man’s Sky, a new explorer and survival game which was released this week for PlayStation 4 and PC is reportedly suffering from several ‘critical issues‘.

No Man’s Sky Patch On The Way, Developers Aware of Reported Issues

Soon after its release on the PC platform yesterday, the game received negative reviews on the most popular digital game store, Steam. However, the game’s director and founder of Hello Games, Sean Murray on his blog update confirmed that the studio is aware of reported issues, bugs and crashes and is working to address them.

In his update post, director Sean Murray explained that the number of players and average play session turned out to be far more than the developing team expected. He apologized to the players who faced issues and said, “We sincerely apologise to anyone affected in the meantime.

He also mentioned that a new team has been brought for the QA that will accompany the Sony’s QA team, which is even bigger than the entire team of Hello Games. And the fixes for the most critical issues are under work, and will be addressed by a patch in the ‘near future‘. While he also posted reporting forums for the players who encounter new problems on Sony forums or can contact Hello Games.

Having said that, he also posted some workarounds for the players to try out for the most known issues. Have a look into that below;

  • If you believe you are stuck, or can’t reach your ship, be aware you can jetpack forever whilst pushing against any surface
  • If you have made a mistake – you can revert to any of your two previous saves in the Options Menu
  • If you have left your ship somewhere inaccessible, you will be able to summon it from landing pads or beacons found at most buildings or points of interest (marked by question marks)

No Many’s Sky was released on August 9th for Playstation 4 in North America while August 12th for Windows PC globally. How was your experience with the new adventure and explorer? Let us know in the comment section below.
