Since earlier this year, we have been reading about a new console, code-named as NX from the Nintendo. The console was rumored for reveal during E3 2016 and TGS 2016 but Nintendo decided to skip the new console’s reveal. Up till now, there are many rumored based reports from some credible sources related to the design, controllers and games for the Nintendo NX.

Today, Nintendo has announced partnership with the eSports giant Electronic Sports League for hosting the Go4Splatoon tournament. The event will be a six month long, starting from this Sunday 4 pm and will be ending in March 2017. Final matches will be taking place during the month of March next year and the winner of the event will be awarded the upcoming NX console as a prize award.

In typical Go4 fashion, teams will get the chance to compete on a weekly basis to accrue points based on their performance. Each month, the best teams will compete in the monthly finals, where the winners can secure themselves a spot for the grand finals in 2017. Along the way, teams will have tons of chances to score official Splatoon clothing, by winning in both the weekly and monthly cups.

More and more is reported regarding the unannounced console. It is expected that Nintendo will hold an event during late September, where it will reveal the console. While the Nintendo NX is planned for release in March 2017. Stay tuned for more updates!
