Today, various products ranging from tablets, autonomous car (driverless car, self-driving car, robotic car), portable consoles and gaming tablets are equipped with NVIDIA Tegra SoC. Now we know that on August the company will announce the successor of Tegra X1 announced early last year. A representative from NVIDIA has confirmed the arrival of this new SoC. This SoC is known as Codenamed Parker.
NVIDIA Parker SoC to be unveiled at the Hot Chips show in August
It is expected that Parker makes use of two custom cores under the name of Denver2 with quad – core Cortex-A53. As always, the strong point where you will not find opponent will be in the graphic where you will use the Pascal architecture which is in the latest GeForce GTX 1060, GeForce GTX 1070 and GeForce GTX 1080 in the market for desktop graphics cards.
This new Tegra SoC is manufactured under 16nm FinFET lithography and also use unified memory technology for rapid communication between the CPU and the GPU. The transistors are tacked to improve performance and optimize consumption. At the moment, we just need to sit back and wait for the official launch of NVIDIA Parker SoC.
