Previously on 19th September NVIDIA launched their Maxwell Second Generation Graphics include Cards Gtx 980 and Gtx 970, GM204 is fused on both cards. After the release of both High-End Cards of Maxwell architecture. At that time MSI confirmed that on both Maxwell GM204 based Graphics Cards, MSI is not going to implement Lightning cooler, they are waiting for more powerful variant of the Maxwell graphics card in favor of higher performance chips. Now NVIDIA has released the more powerful variant talking about GeForce GTX 980 Ti featuring Maxwell GM200 GPU core. And now MSI  announced a Custom version of the GeForce GTX 980 Ti,  the main focus of new bad boy would be enthusiasts and Overclockers.

MSI prepares the GeForce GTX 980 Ti Lightning for extreme Overclocking

MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Lightning is specially designed for extreme Overclocking, where Overclockers use unconventional methods of cooling. The detailed specifications of the card are not yet known, but traditionally we expect core Maxwell GM200 and 6 GB of GDDR5 memory 384-bit, factory-raised clock and by the way pretty good potential for additional OC.

Card reportedly will be equipped with a new Duo Frozr cooling – as the name suggests, it will use two fans (not like previous version which was equipped with Tri Frozr cooling).

Premier of MSI GeFoce GTX 980 Ti Lightning can be expected in the next few days. Similar structures should also appear in the tender competition – in the case of a company ASUS will release a new version talking about Asus GeForce GTX 980 Ti DirectCU III STRIX and EVGA has also announced EVGA GTX 980 Ti Classified KINGPIN Edition.
