Today MSI announced two new mortarboards of its new family Carbon, under the name of MSI X99A GODLIKE Gaming Carbon (LGA2011-3) and MSI Z170A Pro Gaming Carbon (LGA1151), both motherboards are equipped with an RGB lighting system that allow an extra splash of colors with a total of 16.8 million colors.

MSI X99A GODLIKE Gaming Carbon

The socket LGA2011-3 is powered by a VRM 12-phase power supply connected to eight DDR4 DIMM slots supporting up to 128GB RAM and five PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots reinforced. The information is completed by a Turbo M.2 connector (64 Gbps), ten SATA III 6.0 Gbps ports, two SATA-Express, and wireless connectivity 802.11ac WiFi + Bluetooth.

MSI Z170A Pro Gaming Carbon 

The M SI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon is still a more humble model for the socket LGA1151 powered by VRM 8 + 2 phase power with four DDR4 DIMM slots, three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots, four PCIe x1, two Turbo connectors M.2 (64 Gbps), six SATA III 6.0 Gbps and SATA-Express ports. Both motherboards have USB 3.1 connectivity Type A & Type-C, USB 3.0, Audio Boost 3 Pro, the X99  has connectivity Killer Pro Double Shot-x3 while the Z170 is formed with an Intel Pro signed Ethernet. Prices and release date of both motherboards were not announced.
