Breaking: Great news for Xbox One owners. Microsoft’s chief Phil Spencer just confirmed that their console, Xbox One will be getting backward compatibility, which means that the console can run titles from Xbox 360. The feature will be available in the coming months this year.

Microsoft Xbox One gets Backward Compatibility

As per Microsoft, the program will be launched broadly in fall 2015. But not every Xbox 360 game will work on the Xbox One. Microsoft has published a list of games on their website, but according to the Phil Spencer, there will be around 100 or more games in this feature. “We won’t charge you to play the games you already own,” said Xbox Chief.

The games can be downloaded as well as will be playable through the disc, which you have already got for Xbox 360. The list of games can be checked from Microsoft’s website. This is indeed a great initiative by Microsoft and will help in increasing their sales in the following months as well as competing against the rival, Sony PlayStation 4.

The gamers which are Xbox Preview members will be getting access to this feature from today onwards while the rest of the members will have to wait a little bit more. There is a lot more incoming this E3, stay tuned for more updates!
