Microsoft has been serving the gaming industry with its gaming consoles from Xbox family since more than 15 years. Currently, the company is working on a much upgraded console the Xbox One X (formerly known as Xbox One Scorpio or Project Scorpio) featuring 6 Teraflops and capable to render games at 4K.

The console was confirmed last year and officially unveiled during the company’s presentation at E3 this year. The console is set for release this November for $499 and has a number of titles confirmed for running at UHD resolution. However, new reports suggest that the company is already working on a new console in Xbox family that will serve as a successor to the upcoming Xbox One X.

The word comes from Windows Central’s Jez Corden, one of the company’s insider who took Twitter to spread the word. According to him, the next Xbox is already being designed and will hit the markets sometime after two years, in 2019. According to him, the console is under development and also has a codename as well.

With the announcement of Xbox One X, Microsoft said that things are far from the generations of gaming console and the company will not work on the current or next generation consoles since the hardware need timely upgrades.
