Microsoft Project Scorpio Will Run First-Party Games At Native 4k Resolution

“I have a huge commitment to always looking for characters that are a little bit off the beaten path,” says Loftis. “Just to give more people something to emotionally relate to in our portfolio.”

“Any games we’re making that we’re launching in the Scorpio time frame, we’re making sure they can natively render at 4K.”

This means that all games developed and published by Microsoft Studios after Christmas will run natively @4K resolution.

It is noteworthy that the PlayStation 4 Pro and Project Scorpio both are competitors, but the new console from Sony upscaling game to run at 4k. The Xbox Scorpio is slated for a release in 2017. A price hasn’t been provided by Microsoft.
