MediaTek has a large presence in the mobile market worldwide, but they are not able to offer the high-performance candies as the competitors such as NVIDIA, Qualcomm and Samsung. But it seems like they have pulled their socks in order to beat them in this race of High-end processors. It is also worth noting that, they are first to bring the 8-core chip, something very criticized throughout the contest, now 8-Cores processors are utilized by their SoCs for high and medium range.
MediaTek has planned to unveil a 12 Core CPU
New rumors have surfaced from industry insiders, stating that the manufacturer in working on ushering in a new breed of mobile CPUs with 10 or even 12 cores. Something hitherto only seen in CPU from Intel and AMD processors aimed at servers. This of course raises a lot of questions and concerns.
For one is this even possible in such a little structure variable and with only passive cooling? In what manner will the structural planning be executed – will it be a genuine 12-Cores chip or something all the more in the lines of the early big.little SoCs.
Touch see where these processors are placed, although obviously open the door to have more open processes in parallel to help multitasking or handle higher resolutions, but of course, we always find the same thing for an operating system that is not optimized for it, but this could be solved by Big little architecture and future OS updates as happened with 8-core SoCs.
