Mafia 3 was announced by 2K Games last year after teasing the game over the internet and then later on, the studio revealed the game by a teaser trailer as well.

It was confirmed that the new Mafia 3 will be an open-world but not an ordinary one, unlike in the Assassin’s Creed, The Division, or even the Grand Theft Auto V where in-game actions doesn’t result in any change in the game’s world. But as per the new report, this will not be the case with Mafia 3.

According to the report published by Kotaku, players can change the game’s world slightly after they progress in their mission completion. With the word ‘change’, it doesn’t mean that they can claim and remove the buildings and towers, but they can claim various regions of the game and tackle the organized crime of the city after progressing through the game.

It will have an impact on the relationships with some of the ‘key’ characters in the game which will also result in new choices available to them and can even turn into enemies from allies, depending upon the player’s actions. It says that the Mafia 3 players will be able to take over various rackets and regions in the city and there will be three underbosses, and the players can give it to any one of the underboss which will result in resentment from the other two underbosses.

According to Haden Blackman game’s creative director, “The goal was to have the player torn between greed and loyalty. My joke is they won’t all go rent a house on the beach together, but they will all go to a place of mutual respect.

Mafia 3 is set for release on October 7th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned for more updates!
