The Goliath professional camera maker Kodak has propelled its first cell phone – Kodak IM5.

Kodak IM5 have a 5 inch screen with 720p resolution not great at all considering today’s standards. Coming to interesting stuff, i.e. Camera for which Kodak is famous, Kodak IM5 bears a 13MP rear shooter with a unique software for picture management not only this the front camera is a 5MP beast too. Kodak IM5 comes with 8 GB built in storage also MicroSD slot is there supporting a max of 32 GB through a MicroSD card. It is fueled by an 8 core (Octa-core) MediaTek processor clocked at 1.7 GHz.

Kodak IM5 comes with Android 4.4 Kitkat, however, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is due.

Kodak first phone will hit shelves of market in Europe by the end of March. Later on, in April Global launch will occur.

It’s interesting to see various companies are stepping in the smartphone industry. Kodak IM5 seems to be a good phone, but the phenomenon which may grab attention of individuals is the camera, as Kodak possesses a very high reputation in Camera industry so for sure people will expect a decent camera. Even as per Kodak they have incorporated a unique picture managment software. Let’s see how far Kodak go with their smartphone production.
