The Chinese manufacturer Huawei has showcased a beast, which will be directly competing with Samsung, we are talking about HISILICON Kirin 950 SoC, manufactured by TSMC with the manufacturing process of 16nm FinFET making it the fastest SoC available in the market, even faster than the top model from Samsung the Exynos 7420, which can be found in the Galaxy Note5 or Galaxy S6 + edge.

Kirin 950 is the Fastest SoC available in the market

According to the evidence leaked from China, the Kirin 950 SoC  threw in Geekbench a mono-core score of 1,909 points and 6,096 points in a multi-core test far away from the 1,486 / 4,970 points of the Exynos 7420 when subjected to the same tests. The reason behind such performance is Kirin 950 is made up of four Cortex-A72 (@ 2.40 GHz) with four Cortex-A53, the Exynos 7420 “only” offers four Cortex-A57 with  four Cortex-A53 (2.10 / 1.50 GHz).

Kirin 950 SoC

  • Single-core test: 1,909 points
  • Multi-core test: 6,096 points

Exynos 7420 SoC

  • Single-core test: 1,486 points
  • Multi-core test: 4,970 points
