Last year was a very interesting year for gaming industry. In this year we have seen the rise and downfall of many anticipated titles. Some unexpected games also visit the PC camp and on the other hand, games like Call of Duty: Advanced land on PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms, Metal Gear series has finally landed on the PC platform and we have also seen new technologies to support like AMD API Mantle. Ryse Son Rome makes his debut on PC and The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter a game with less than 1.5GB of memory requirements surprise everyone with amazing textures. There is no doubt in it that Console Gaming this year play a very major role in Gaming if you see the exclusive title of both consoles and sales of both Xbox One and PS4. Sales of both Consoles in a year has been increased if we compare the sales stats with the previous Generation console (Xbox 360 and PS3) sales of first year. Now 2012 year has come to and end, but the Console was between Sony PS4 and Microsoft Xbox One will continues, but when we sum up both, they are doing a really good job, previously we have seen that PS4 / Xbox One Sales in 15-month was 60% better than predecessors Consoles. The stats we have mentioned previously was impressive to make any player happy. But what about the lifetime sales of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U?
January shows how the PlayStation 4 has continued to grow its lead over the Xbox One and Wii U. Also shows how sales quickly decline from the peak month of December.
PS4 vs Xbox One vs Wii U Sales, PS4 19.05M, Xbox One 11.3M, Wii U 9.14M
From the above chart we can clearly see that Sony PS4 has crossed the mark of 19.05 million in January and leading to a major difference than other competitors in the race. Xbox One with 11.30 million sales is at second and 9.14 million units of Wii U have been sold till January.
- PlayStation 4 Total Sales: 19,052,353
- Xbox One Total Sales: 11,298,462
- Wii U Total Sales: 9,137,844
At last vgchartz has shared one more chart with us in terms of monthly sales of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U. We can clearly see that Sony PS4 has outsold both the Xbox One and Wii U every month since its release 15 months ago.
But there is one thing which is representing red light for Sony as from the launch of Sony PS4 its sales is going into decline every month and on the other hand sales of Xbox One and Wii U are going up.
- PlayStation 4 Monthly Sales: 601,529
- Xbox One Monthly Sales: 317,421
- Wii U Monthly Sales: 164,702
P.S: The whole scenario is Kinda Ironic, considering the previous consoles after more than one year of release had already got some pretty great exclusives like Resistance,Heavenly Sword,Dead or Alive 4,Perfect Dark Zero,Gears of War and many more while majority of the games these consoles are getting are either the same multiplatform games or those dreaded re-release of one to two year old games.
