We already have a firm launch date for the arrival of the new CPUs Intel Skylake processors, the launch would take place between 5 and August 9, coinciding with the Gamescom 2015. Remember that Intel Skylake motherboards are based on the 100 Series chipset. The new chipsets will be equipped with integrated USB 2.0 controller, USB 3.0, SATA 6 Gb / s, Intel LAN and – what is new – Controller PCI-Express version 3.0 (the number of available lines is dependent on the specific model). Intel Z170 with socket LGA1151 will have the particularity of memory support of both DDR3 and DDR4 for a future transition.
Intel Skylake CPUs will be announced at Gamescom 2015
The Skylake lineup incorporates a few SKUs, drive-in the desktop side would be the Skylake-S series, the Skylake-Y series would control the Core M based processors went for ultra low TDP gadgets, the Skylake-U processors will be offered in the more standard mainstream mobility devices while the Skylake-H series will comprise of the top of the line, execution centered portability chips that will incorporate both consistent HQ variants alongside Xeon processors for buyers requesting additional workstation abilities on developer laptops.
The release includes two high-performance processors for Overclockers namely Intel Core i7-6700K and Core i5-6600K. In August-September we will get our hands to the Core i7-6700, Core i7-6700T, Core i5-6600, Core i5-6500, Core i5-6400, Core i5-6600T, Core i5-6500T and Core i5-6400T with Chipsets H170 and B150. In September we will have the H110 chipset.
