Intel’s next generation 14nm Skylake architecture processors will be officially released in August in San Francisco IDF. In the portfolio of Intel Skylake-S there are 12 models including Intel Core i7-6700K and Core i5-6600K others name are till now unknown to us, but there are some with non-K version and also energy saving T versions. Intel Skylake Processors are using the LGA 1151 Socket interface. Intel Skylake corresponds to the Intel 100 series chipset, including the Z170, Z150, Q170, Q150, B150 and H110.

Processors are also equipped with a new generation layout, which is expected to support the latest API (DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.3 / 4.4, OpenCL 2.0) and the acceleration of the latest codecs (HEVC, VP8 and VP9). In addition, the manufacturer integrates a dual memory controller: DDR3L and DDR4 – can therefore you can expect the debut of new motherboards in the market supporting DDR3L memory, DDR4 or DDR3L and DDR4. The foreign media pcfrm also leaked some benchmark scores of Core i7-6700K. The other competitor in this race of scores is Core i7-5820K and Core i7-4790K. The Intel Core i7-4790K default frequency is 4.0GHz, 4.4GHz Turbo while the Core i7-6700K is running at 4.0GHz, Turbo boost to 4.2GHz.
