Intel plans to release a series of professional media model Intel DC P3608 for data centers, whose performance is up to 5000 MB / s and 870 000 IOPS.

The new series will replace the current DC P3600 and bring not only better performance, but also a greater capacity – will be available models of 1.2 – 4 TB, whereas previously they were “only” 400 GB – 2 TB. Carriers are based on the new controller and memory dice 20 nm MLC NAND (made in the HET technology), and to communicate with the computer use the PCI-Express 3.0 x8 and protocol NVM Express 1.0.

The manufacturer boasts transfers read / write speed of up to 5000/2300 MB / s and number of input / output operations per second row 870 000/110 000 IOPS. It is worth noting that the highest performance at least capacious version, while the other two are a little slower.

Intel DC P3608 will be available in this quarter, in capacities of 1.2 TB, 3.2 TB and 4 TB (all as an expansion card type HHHL). In addition, the manufacturer reportedly plans to refresh DC models P3700 – also designed for data centers.
