Intel is preparing to launch desktop processors of Broadwell series and soon after the release of Broadwell, they will present Skylake series candies, but do not forget about the current generation of Haswell Refresh – soon it will go to a series of new processors in the product portfolio of Pentium and Core i3.

Intel is preparing new Pentium and Core i3 Haswell Refresh Series Processors

The manufacturer plans to release seven processors: Pentium G3260, G3260T, G3460T and G3470 and Core i3-4170, i3-4170T and i3-4370T. Specifications are not a mystery to us, because the new models, based on the predecessors, they work with a higher clock speed of 100 MHz – all while maintaining the same TDP.

Pentium processors have two cores, 3 MB cache and integrated HD graphics, whereas the Core i3 models are also with two cores with HT Technology (four threads), 3 MB or 4 MB L3 cache and efficient HD graphics 4400 / 4600. Low voltage versions (postscript T) have a lower TDP, but they  will also work at lower clock speeds.

Model Cores / Threads Timing L3 memory Graphics TDP
Pentium G3260 2/2 3.3 GHz 3 MB HD 53 In
Pentium G3260T 2/2 2.9 GHz 3 MB HD 35 W
Pentium G3460T 2/2 3.0 GHz 3 MB HD 35 W
Pentium G3470 2/2 3.6 GHz 3 MB HD 53 In
Core i3-4170 2/4 3.7 GHz 3 MB HD 4400 54 In
Core i3-4170T 2/4 3.2 GHz 3 MB HD 4400 35 W
Core i3-4370T 2/4 3.3 GHz 4 MB HD 4600 35 W

The new processors should be put on the same shelf price as its predecessors – so you will have to pay 64-93 dollars for Pentium  and a Core’s i3 prices are between 117-157 dollars.
